This notice explains how Edinburgh Tailoring Company Ltd, trading as SHIRTMKR, handles your personal data. If you have any questions, contact us at orders@shirtmkr.co.uk.
The data we hold
- Account details you provide, such as your name and email address.
- Your measurements, saved patterns and saved designs, which you create to have shirts made to fit you.
- Order and payment records. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
- Your marketing preference and the record of when and how you gave or withdrew it.
- Messages you send us, including any help requests about an order.
How we use it
- To make your shirts, fulfil and deliver your orders, and provide customer support.
- To send transactional messages you would expect, such as account and security notices, order and payment confirmations, dispatch updates, refunds, help-request responses and account-deletion emails.
- To send marketing email only where you have given a positive opt-in, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Marketing choices
Marketing means promotional email, offers, product news and campaigns. We use a clear, unticked opt-in when we collect your email address, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can update your preference at any time in your account settings, and opting out takes effect immediately, including removal from any unsent queued campaigns. We do not send SMS marketing.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; the process, including what is erased and what we must retain for legal, tax, accounting or legal-claims purposes, is set out on our Account Deletion page.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal data, including access, correction and erasure. The right to erasure is not absolute where we are required to retain certain records. To exercise any right, contact us at orders@shirtmkr.co.uk.
Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. These are necessary for the service and do not track you across other websites. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies.
