Every SHIRTMKR shirt begins with your choice of cloth and design.
You can select the collar, cuff, front, pockets, back style, buttons, stitching and monogram, then choose the measurement route that suits you best.
You may order from a standard size, adapt one of our standard sizes, measure a shirt you already own, send us a shirt to measure, or create a completely new pattern from your body measurements.
Once your pattern has been created, it is saved to your account for future orders.

SHIRTMKR was founded by Chris McGowan, owner and head tailor of Edinburgh Tailoring Company.
With nearly 20 years of experience in tailoring, fitting and garment production, Chris has built SHIRTMKR around a simple principle:

Your pattern, saved for the future
A shirt should become easier to order once the fit is right.
That is why your SHIRTMKR account keeps a record of your saved patterns and previous orders. You can reuse an existing pattern, amend it when required or reorder a previous shirt with or without changes.
The aim is not simply to sell you one shirt.
It is to create a reliable way for you to build a wardrobe over time.

SHIRTMKR shirts are designed for work, weddings, travel, evenings out and everyday wear.
Whether you want something quiet and classic or more personal and distinctive, the process gives you control without making the experience unnecessarily complicated.
Your shirt will normally be delivered within four weeks of your order date. If a cloth or component becomes unavailable, or a reselection is required, we will contact you as soon as possible and confirm the revised timeframe.
